LaMelo Ball was traded by the Charlotte Hornets to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, June 25, 2026. With Minnesota, Ball joins Anthony Edwards in the Wolves backcourt. Edwards was chosen first overall in the 2022 NBA draft. Ball was taken third.
Charlotte gets forward Naz Reid as part of the deal. Reid was the 2025 NBA Sixth Man of the Year. He was also a favorite with fans in Minnesota.
